Database Editing

Postby Lineabove » Sun Jul 01, 2012 8:35 am

Hi Patrick,

Any chance to add the ability to edit the database under certain conditions?
ie: To correct a spelling mistake when entering Job Information.

Attached are two screenshots, "Before EDIT.jpg" and "After EDIT.jpg"
Both taken when using ACTIVITY Report.

It seems that I may revise the name but of course the revised name is not saved.

Well it certainly makes sense to allow you to do that doesn't it. :D
I'm getting close to a new update so I'll see if I can (easily) squeeze it in for that.

If you remember your suggestion to add a button for the Display Timer on the Task prompt, that is in the update.

Sorry for the delay in responding, I'm supposed to get notifications on new posts but it doesn't seem to do it.

I've updated CadTempo on the website and included a means of making corrections to the entries in the Task logs as well as Activity logs. Here is how it works:

First you must work in individual columns, Date or Time columns will not allow for modification. Changes are made only to the current column.

You can restrict the change to only the dates that are selected in the calendar or you can modify all values in the stored data by unchecking "Selected Dates Only". Subsequent reports will reflect the corrected values.

If you have created more than one Task report and multiple tabs are displayed the changes will affect all reports that hold the selted date(s).

Thanks for suggesting this, it is an important feature that I am certain many will benefit from.
